In addition to art development and exhibition programmes, M101 also provides exhibition text support, statements, graphics, wall texts, posters, folders, catalogues, and books through their publication arm, JEMbooks. This initiative is coordinated and financed by M101 in collaboration with designer Becky Bliss, and the additional editor, writer, artist, auctioneer, and other contributors who collaborate to bring these publications to fruition.

JOC: world tour (2007)
Work by 24 NZ artists
JOC celebrates the object. That was my first impression when I visited Jewellery
Out Of Context at The Muse in Sydney in 2006. But is it jewellery? Hardly any item seems fit for wearing. These objects are things in themselves. Not abstract and fundamental objects, which only refer to their own objecthood, but objects alluding to jewellery, decoration, and even to surface ornamentation and embellishment. The exhibition is about deconstructing and
looking for new contexts…..

Jewellery Out of Context (2006)
Jewellery Out of Context (joc) is an exhibition of 24 submissions created by 31 New Zealand artists (immigrants, emigrants, migrants, and natives to New Zealand). The exhibition was held at the Muse, Ultimo, Sydney in early 2006. The artists explore the relationships and transformations of jewellery in its wider context.
The JOC brief is open-ended, with the aim to reveal and unravel the many facets related to the formation and organisation of the jewellery discourse. This exhibition aims to provoke the jewellery community by deconstructing and reassembling its most elementary principle—‘made to wear’. Instead this exhibition is put together as a playful token for its own centralised existence, like: ‘jewellery’ has a good look to itself, or ‘jewellery’ dresses up for its own party…
