HANDSHAKE project (2011 – current)
M101 major project, the HANDSHAKE project, started in 2011 with the support of CNZ. The HS programme provides emerging jewellery artists from Aotearoa with a professional package in developing ideas and artworks for a succession of exhibitions with the assistance of a chosen mentor. This two-year project is followed up by an extended one-year project for selected artists from former projects to produce work for intentionally renowned establishments. The accumulative nature of the two projects aims to provide NZ jewellery artists with professional opportunities, capabilities and capacities.
